General Terms
1.1 Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll Irish Association CLG is the non-profit, voluntary, Sports Body federation governing all aspects of the world discipline of sports of Rock-n-Roll, Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll, Boogie Woogie, Lindy Hop, in Ireland either directly or through its national member bodies established to support and protect the rights of Association's members and others by conducting sport, educational, healthy, cultural activities and the only national federation (association) in Ireland to represent all organizations who do and promote Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and all sports mentioned above in all international organizations.
1.2 Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll Irish Association CLG uses the abbreviated name ARIA, and in the further part of the Memorandum shall be used the term «the Association».
1.3 The Association operates according to the rules set out in this Memorandum and by the World Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll Federation - Word Rock-n-Roll Confederation (WRRC). 1.4 The Association develops mass, recreational and professional sport in the disciplines mentioned above.
1.5 The Association may be a member of national and international organizations with a convergent profile of activities. Purpose and Aims
2.1 Purpose and Aims of the Association consists of:
1) Cultivation, dissemination, organization, development, promotion and popularization of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie and all related activities and styles among adults, youth and children.
2) Providing assisting in the development of national and international youth organizations.
3) Promoting related activities practiced by adults, youth and children.
4) Conducting training and educational activities.
5) Organizing competitions, sports and recreational events, festivals, mass sports, national tournaments, reviews, cups, festivals, etc. of regional, national, international and championship rank, in all age categories, and assigning sports classes in the field of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie and all related styles.
6) Preparation of the national team and other representative teams for participation in championship competitions, the World Games, the Olympic Games and other international tournaments and competitions.
7) Dissemination and support of physical culture, sport and cultivate healthy lifestyle through Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie activities.
8) Acting for sport clubs, associations etc. that are members of the Association.
9) Promoting European integration and developing contacts and cooperation between societies.
10) Participate in sports competitions within the framework of various sports competitions organized by the unions, associations, other sports clubs and various organizations.
11) To promote cooperation, exchange of information and experience between youth organizations, sport clubs and related associations.
12) Supporting the development of Irish youth organizations.
13) Organizing Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll Sport Classes at schools.
14) Cooperation in the implementation of the state program for the dissemination of physical culture and health prevention, support activities aimed at creating favorable conditions for active practice of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie.
15) Cooperation with governmental, self-governmental and social institutions, nongovernmental organizations, foreign and international specialized organizations of physical culture and recreation, especially in the field of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie and with the mass media.
16) Cooperation, organization and maintenance of direct contacts with national unions abroad and cooperation in achieving the objectives and tasks of international organizations to which the Association belongs.
17) Supporting activities that create favorable conditions for Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie.
18) Developing and issuing rules, regulations and rules of sport competition in Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie, as well as issuing rules concerning practicing Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie in accordance with Irish law and provisions of international organizations to which the Association belongs.
19) Submission of the Association's national team and other representative teams for participation in championship competitions, World Games and other official international tournaments and competitions.
20) Ensuring that the rules and regulations of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie are followed.
21) Developing plans and directions for training and raising the qualifications of coaches, instructors, judges, social activists and full-time employees, as well as verification of training methods, in cooperation with institutions and universities dealing with sports issues.
22) To supervise and control the observance by members of the Association, including competitors, coaches, instructors, judges and activists, of the provisions of this Memorandum, regulations, resolutions, other provisions and decisions, binding in the Association.
23) To resolve disputes, arising between members of the Association, as a result of their actions, in the field of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie.
24) To issue guidelines and regulations to ensure order and safety, during competitions and to supervise their observance by members of the Association.
25) Imposing disciplinary penalties and regulatory sanctions on members of the Association as well as competitors, coaches, instructors, judges and activists operating within the Association for violating these Memorandum, regulations, resolutions, other rules as well as provisions and decisions in force in the Association.
26) Maintain records, statistics, documentation, archival resources, memorabilia collections, and issue annual reports and informational materials relating to the activities of the Association.
27) Conducting publishing, educational, training and dissemination activities, as well as initiating and supporting scientific and research work, in the field of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie.
28) Organizing conferences and seminars to related topics.
29) To take a position and give opinions on matters relevant to Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie nationally and internationally.
30) To submit candidates for service in national and international organizations concerned with Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie issues.
31) Management of owned sports and recreation facilities and equipment and development of activities in construction, modernization, repair and maintenance of these facilities.
32) Granting licenses to athletes, coaches, instructors, judges and managers, sports clubs operating within the Association, entitling them to participate in sports competition organized by the Association and WRRC.
33) Fostering a love for systematic sports activities.
34) Interaction in the process of education and coordination of activities of the members of the Association.
2.2 The aims of the Association shall be achieved by:
a.Registering existing in Ireland Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie federations, sport clubs, unions etc and promoting the establishment of federations, sport clubs, unions etc in cities where no such organizations exist;
b.Promoting national and international Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie competitions for amateurs and professionals;
c.Campaigning for approval of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll as an Olympic sport;
d.Continuous further training of tournament dancers by means of suitable specialists and trainers;
e.Organizing Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie competitions and championships on national and international level;
f.Presentations and social gatherings, the publication of documents and other works favoring the preservation and promotion of Acrobatic Rock-n-Roll and Boogie Woogie as a sport;
g.Educations of coaches and judges;
h) Other activities which aid in achieving the aims of the Association.
2.3 The Association shall have no party affiliations and shall not influence the political, ideological and religious opinions of its officials and sportsmen and women.
2.4 Exact provisions shall be governed by the Tournament Rules (Regulations), by the Rules of Procedure, the relevant version of the Anti-Doping Code of the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF), as well as by further specific regulations regarding divisions and topics which have to be decided by the Presidium or the General Meeting.
